Research and Development

In the wake of our successful research projects like the Auto- Dispatch- Module (ADM) and the ADM - SECALL, Datamatix, in co-operation with the Institute of Electrodynamics, Microwave and Circuit Engineering at the Vienna University of Technology, started the Backscatter research project in October 2007.

The Backscatter research project is intended to improve the backscattering of modulated transmissions in the frequency range between 500 MHz and 8 GHz. Its purpose is to upgrade the data transmission of passive semiconductor-based logic circuits, i.e. circuits without a power supply of their own.

The research project is designed to significantly increase both the range and the data rate, and thereby establish the basis for the development of new semiconductors and readers, to be applied in healthcare and security systems.

In the course of the “Call IKT Vienna 2007” project, the Backscatter research project is funded by the Zentrum für Innovation und Technologie GmbH (ZIT), and will be concluded in Summer 2011. Please contact us for research results and further information.
